This really is a five minute chocolate cake. Now, I'll admit this isn't as great as a chocolate cake that you slave over for an hour or so. But this little cake will hit the spot if you have a midnight craving or don't want to spend the time making an actual cake.
You'll need sugar, flour, milk, oil, vanilla, cocoa, an egg, and a large coffee cup. Chocolate chips are optional, but why would you make them optional? Also, those of you with eagle eyes will notice there is salt in the photo. You don't need it. The chef moved it out of the way to get to the cocoa and it somehow walked its way into the photo.
Mix together the flour, sugar, and cocoa. Note, you don't need to grease the coffee cup. Just make sure it is clean and dry.
Add the egg. Mix. The batter is going to be sticky and you may not be able to get all of the dry mix in with the egg. That's okay. You'll get it all on the next step.
Now add the milk and the oil. Stir, stir, stir.
Now add a splash of vanilla and those 'optional' chocolate chips.
Time to 'bake' the cake. Pop in the microwave on high for 3 minutes.
Voila! Five Minute Chocolate Cake. Feel free to share this with your sweetie or save it for yourself. Just don't forget the ice cream!
